CAERC Annual Plan for 2022-23
CAERC’s goal for year seven is to sustain and refine adult education offerings, develop alignment and pathways, increase transition support services, and enhance data collection to improve and accurately report adult learner outcomes.

CAERC Three-Year Plan 2022-25
CAERC’s goal for the next three years is to continue to sustain, expand, refine, and offer high-quality courses and services that provide the region’s adult learners with the academic and employability skills needed to identify and meet their personal, educational, and career goals.

CAERC Annual Plan for 2020-21
CAERC’s continued goal for Year 6 is to sustain and refine adult education offerings, transition support services, and data collection efforts to improve and accurately report adult learner outcomes. While these overarching goals remain the same, implementation of these goals will look different as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. CAERC will engage in modifying the original progress indicators that measure progress toward our goals in light of the current health and economic crisis.

CAERC Informational Letter - Adult Education during COVID-19 Disruption

This letter is to inform all the stakeholders that during the disruption to the educational delivery due to COVID-19 crisis, the members of Capital Adult Education Regional Consortium continue to follow the education code 84900-84920 and the state-level guidance which remains in effect during the 2019-20 program year.

CAERC Guidance on Hourly Instructors and Distance Learning

CAERC members have agreed that adult schools can continue to pay and provide distance learning delivery expectations for their hourly staff on an as-needed basis. Current annual budget plans and funding levels have already accounted for this expense, so there is no anticipated additional cost to districts that choose to employ a portion of their hourly instructors in this work.

In Year 5, the consortium will establish a Network of Transition Navigators. Another new project is to establish an Application Programing Interface so that the workforce development partners and adult education consortium members can compare data from CalJOBs and CASAS TopsEnterprise to better serve the shared clients/learners. The nine regional strategies continue to provide the frame for the activites to benefit the adult learners in our region.
